Excerpts from Postcards to my Cousins

I'd like to send this cousinly wish
To you in a state that needs heatin'
Beware of the kraken, that squidulous fish
And take care not to get eaten!

I am in Sweden, a safe place to be
For windigos here to do not dwell
Nor krakens of land or air or sea
'Least as far as I can tell

I'm sending you this postcard greeting
To check whether you've been a kraken's snack
So now you know if your heart's still beating
I expect for you to write me back

----
I think you go to college at Ames
On Iowa on the Great Plains
I'm not quite sure 'cause I'm not good at names
And lack of sleep's destroyed my brains

You said you wanted me to send you a card
So that's what I'm doing today
Though I didn't want to 'cause it's kinda hard
And a windigo might have eaten you anyway

---

The kraken is large and covered in slime
And brave men flee at the word
Yet I think if faced by the Lord of Time
The Doctor's win is assured

Whether wearing a scarf or those sexy glasses
The Doctor's a formidable foe
But if the Kraken didn't threaten to kill the masses
It's endangered so he might let it go!
